Entry formalities and custom in Nepal are not cumbersome. After checking in at the immigration desk, passengers without dutiable goods can proceed through the Green Channel for quick clearance without a baggage check. Only those carrying dutiable goods need to proceed through Red Channel.
Multiple entry visas for 15 days (US$ 25 or equivalent convertible currency), 30 days (US$ 40) or 90 days (US$ 100) can be obtained from any Nepali Embassy or Consulate. You can also get a visa on arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport.
Gratis visas for 30 days are available for nationals of the South Asian countries of Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Indian nationals do not require visas to enter Nepal.
